[Pharo-project] Working with weak announcements...

Hi, I'm working with weak announcements, trying to make it work, and I have a problem in #on:do: protocol (or #when:do:) I try to explain: This method receives a block, not an object/selector, so I can't create a WeakMessageSend which is the appropriate message to handle in other cases. Well, the real question is... how can I produce a "Weak BlockClosure reference" who can die if receiver dies? I tried some hacks (really ugly hacks, btw), but fail completely. probably. When I did threadsafetranscript I was thinking that transcript is a tool but may be this is a stream. [Pharo-project] Loading Seaside into Pharo 1.2 core

Hi, i want to load Seaside into Pharo 1.2 core. I have followed various threads talking about doing this with metacello, but beyond the simple tutorial i have worked through I am lost. I don't want to have to specify each package by hand. I can do this... Gofer new squeaksource: 'MetacelloRepository'; package: 'ConfigurationOfSeaside30'; load. (ConfigurationOfSeaside30 project version: '3.0.3') load: { 'Grease Core'. 'Grease Core Tests'. 'Swazoo2'} I can do this... (ConfigurationOfSeaside30 project version: '3.0.3') load: { 'Javascript-Core'} but how do I load all the stuff declared as #common, or some of the other parts, in the spec? I don't want to do this in a Pharo image. If I do something like load: { #common } or load: { #pharo } then this was clearly a stupid request and I get 100s of errors pop up from some decompiler issue and my image dies. If someone can help or just point me at the part of the docs I should be reading that would be great. thanks, Mike

What is happening if the class of your application UI gets a new variables or if a superclass changes its structure? May be in objective-C you have to resave your nib? Yes I would like to know the answers :) And also can we get rid of the inlining. Does opal support it? I think that inlining just reserved to a really limited amount of case and caseOf: should not be part of it. We should have a simpler compiler and spending energy and time on real point. Stef

The executed command is xdg-open "http://www.ofset.org/drgeo" Strangely, this command works fine from a shell terminal, but not when interpreted from the Smalltalk system command.
