[Pharo-project] Auto-Completion in the debugger

Hi, Why is the auto-completion in the dev images so stupid in the debugger? Why is it wildly guessing around in a debugger, where the type of all variables is well known? To get good feed back like this one! You are right, occluding other methods shapes behind the Code editor view is to restricting. I'll modify this behavior ASAP. Good because else this is clearly a no go at all for me. I got enough frustrated with smalltalk editors.

I had to cross information between the screencast, the website doc, and the paper to get a start. But I think that simply the screencast in a better quality, like Laurent suggested, is enough to get a start. (although an embedded tutorial would not harm of course) -- Simon

Hi Alexander, in the web page http://gaucho.inf.usi.ch/ you can find several screen casts explaining how to install it, and a bank account tutorial and more ( i still have to produce HD versions and upload them). In the Releases section, you can find the details for the Gaucho1.0 release. It works on Pharo1.0 and PharoCore1.0. Richard, yes, SqueakDBX is working on Pharo. As you noticed, you need the OpenDBX libraries AND the database client libraries. If you give me more details I will be happy to help you: - Which OS of the database and which OS for the database client - Which Pharo VM and image - How did you install SqueakDBX? - Which is exactly the error? - Did you install OpenDBX? compiling or installing the binaries? - Did you install the database client libraries? [Pharo-project] Has anybody got DBX working in Pharo?

I tried but it allways fails, because it cannot load the opendbx libraries. I already tried the methods stated on their site but to no luck. RD

[Pharo-project] feature for OCompletion

Hi Romain. I was thinking if it is possible the following scenario: sometimes I am typing somewhere (where I am at that moment) just to browse a class. So, I type for example "ImageSeg". The second element of the list of OCompletion is the one I want: ImageSegmentRootStub. So, I need to go to the second element, press enter, and then ctrl + b. Now I wonder if it would be possible to directly press ctrl b in the list of OCompletion so that it automatically browses that class. What do you think? Cheers Mariano
