Now your argument could work if the syntax #(a b c) would disappear. Now since you have to teach/learn #(a b c), it should be clear that #() is an empty array. Hi John, Maybe I did not follow closely, but in an email dated "21 January 2010 02:25:58 GMT-03:00" you asked me whether I want the primitive for both 32 and 64 bits. I replied ("21 January 2010 07:20:23 GMT-03:00") that I tried with the image 64bitImage*64bitVM. Did I miss something? Is the primitive now part of the VM? I gained some experience with MessageTally, writing some Unit test is on my todo list. I could also give a try to enhance it to have a finer sampling grain. So we should just add the methods for now. In the end, compiling everywhere the same #() would than be just an inlining step of a good optimizer, not special logic in the compiler.
