[Pharo-project] Polymorph final

Nearly the last version on SqueakSource. Polymorph-Widgets-gvc.101.mcz. I seem to have lost some fixes for multiFormFillStyle (oddity with pressed control buttons...). Let me know if there are any merge problems. Adds OverflowRowMorph to browser switches/button-bar. Regards, Gary

[Pharo-project] We remove CodeLoader ?? [WAS] Presenter and Project will die aren't they ?

So....we will remove CodeLoader then ? This is the moment to speak :) I ask about this because I am trying to analize who uses ImageSegments and all that stuff in the code and see how easily or good is to remove ImageSegment to a separate package. And, CodeLoader uses ImageSegment. Can't say I blame him, I'm never quite sure if I'm installing new one or keeping old when merging from MC until after the fact when I use the Polymorph tools ... [Pharo-project] After OB, compare to current version uses old diff

Hi: If you take a PharoCore image, and browse the editions of a class, then select an older one, and then select "compare to current", you see the differences using the "new" diff, the same that we use in MC. However, after installing OB in a core image, it uses the "old" version. I am not sure that change is due to OB, but at least it seems. I checked in Preferences but I didn't find anything. Any hint how to put new diff again after installing OB ? Thanks! Mariano

The Exupery VM provided unix/windows builds with closure bytecodes in october 2008, while the official VM's lagged behind. The windows version was updated not too far behind, but a unix release for closures wasn't made until august 09. At the time, the exupery VM also included some other fixes not found in the official releases, I can't say I know the status of those at this moment though. Cheers, Henry

Some thoughts: In the Linux world it's better to have the source code first, and compiled version for convenience. For squeak-3.11 there's the source code and it's easy to build following instructions included in the README. It's clean. For exupery-vm several people have already asked for source code on this list to create packages for their favorite distrib. Furthermore the binary is named squeak, not pharo-vm or whatever.... not really cool. Lot of garbage in the archive. Exupery vm for windows is cleaner (but contains one file called Squeak.exe ;) ).
