How about another wrinkle? What happens if you save the image on one of Windows or Linux and open it on the other? Philippe: Can you do a little test: just save the image, close it and open it again. Does that fix the problem? I reported this problem but for Windows VM. I use Linux and works ok for me. The first thing that crossed my mind back then was that instead of writing: aBool := Project spawnNewProcessIfThisIsUI: process. ** Code that runs before "aSuspendedProcess" is actually suspended ** process suspend. you can change it to: newUIProcess :=Project newProcessIfThisIsUI: process. ** Old code before process suspend ** [process suspend. newUIProcess ifNotNil: [: uip | uip resume] ] fork. where newProcessIfThisIsUI returns an unresumed version of spawnNewUIProcess, or nil if process wasn't UI process. Which of course is both ugly and error prone for the senders, and why I hoped someone would come up with a better way. I quickly checked in Squeak 3.9 and 3.10 but they do not have that method either. So chances are high that this method never was in Pharo. Maybe it was added by some other package as an extension. I can't remember this change specifically, but to me it seems like a method was removed from Pharo that just added slight syntactic sugar. I'd reckon the reasoning was that it was not in some "standard" SUnit, and thus keeping it lead to worse portability to Smalltalks other that Squeak.
