[Pharo-project] How to help with bugfixing

Hi, Here a small guide for those who want to help with bufixing. Website is: http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/list The simplest thing to help is to look at a report and ask yourself the Question: "What is the next physical, down to earth action that need to be done to get this issue resolved?". Actually, adding a statement about that to the report alone would help *a lot*. You don't need to do anything, just write down what should be done next. And magically, often the next step is trivial. The report links to a website which has a changet? The next step is to attach it to this report. The report describes that method x and y in Class Z need to be removed? add a changeset (or a slice in the inbox) to do that. [Pharo-project] Installer MC1.5 inside Pharo

ScriptLoader loadMC16 There is currently a problem where Installer>>installMCZ:from: calls #install:stream: on MczInstaller but this one DNU. You can fix it by replacing the call to #installStream: instead when the bug occurs. Also, Installer-Launcher overrides ProjectLauncher>>startUpAfterLogin and calls the non existing #setupFlaps. When that happens, just remove the call to #setupFlaps and restard. Keith, could you please fix these two bugs? Hi Mariano, Mondrian is an engine for scripting visualizations of arbitrary models. You start from a set of objects and you specify how you want to display them. Instead of going for hardcoded scripts, I suggest taking a look at the scripting capabilities. Take a look here for an example (although the example is for VW it largely works the same in Pharo): http://moose.unibe.ch/tools/mondrian/tour So, to answer your questions: 1) yes, you just have to connect the proper nodes with the desired edges 2) yes, you can specify exactly what objects you want to be displayed Please let us know if you get more questions. [Pharo-project] [OT] Mondrian question

First of all, let me know if there is a better place to ask questions related to Mondrian. I am preparing my ESUG presentation and I am a bit lazy to some UML diagrams. I would like to do a reverse engineer of my code. The main problem is that most (if not all) UML software are with "java style" using () in methods and you cannot import smalltalk code. So, I want to give Mondrian a try. I loaded it into Pharo and draw the classes I need, using something like this: MOReadme new umlFor: self myClassesToDraw The thing is that only "inherits" relationship is drawn. Now I wonder: 1) can I draw by hand associations and dependencies between classes ? 2) Is there a way to show only some methods instead of ALL of them ? Thanks, Mariano

[Pharo-project] Contents of Transcript

Hi, I would like to fileout the content of Transcript. But it doesn't seem to be possible because "Squeak Transcript (different from VW Transcript) is the stream of not yet appened text" (nicolas cellier). (How about pharo ?) One solution seems to be to add a dependent to Transcript and log stuff on "updated: #appendEntry". Is there a more practical solution ?
