[Pharo-project] Inspect it wrong shortcut

Hi! With latest pharo 304 in Linux the shortcut for inspect it (ctrl + i) doesn't work but alt + i. I have evaluated Preferences enable: #swapCOntrolAndAltKeys. Actually, all the other shortcuts (browse it, do it, explore it, and so on) works with ctrl + XXX but there is a problem with inspect it. Can someone confirm this ? Cheers, Mariano

See World Menu -> System ... -> Preferences then select Preferences Browser. They're attached to comment 4 in http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=192 IMHO, it's a bit more recognizable at smaller dimensions than the one you sent (I did some manual work cleaning up the 16x16 one, for example), which can be nice. If I were to do it again though, I'd make a dimensions/16 pixel border on top/bottom, using all 16px high leaves list view feeling cluttered. If you plan on using ResHacker to add them to squeak.exe, read comment 5 as well :) Sorry I can't help with the second part :) Cheers, Henry

That's my fault. You get the window size I used when building the image. This has nothing to do with Pharo or the VM and I do not consider it as a bug but as a feature. [Pharo-project] Couldn't find an icon so...

Hello all, Sorry to have dropped out for a whlie - nothing against Pharo. I am hopefully getting ready to ramp up some "real" work on Pharo, and toward that end, have a couple of questions. The first is a trivial concern that I have partially addressed with the attached icons. All I did was take the logo and chop off the lighthouse itself. So far it has been useless to me, but perhaps you will do better with it. The next question is more aggressive. Having free use of underscores would be a huge help to me. There are external libraries that are littered with them, and relational databases for which the most natural (leaving aesthetics out of it - this is about simplicity). Is Gwenael's work to a point that it would be reasonable to hack it into my own image? I probably don't want to take the chance, but might consider it depending on how close the code is to be reading. I have to at least ask the question. Thanks, Bill

Hi Damien, Pharo guys, Here are my observations on my Linux (openSuse 11.1, KDE): 1. pharo opens in a window smaller than usual, half of Preference browser is out of borders. 2. swapMouse buttons works again, thanks for that guys! Now just the automatic platform dependent swap is missing ... 3.copy&paste: -copy multiple lines from Thunderbird email client and to pharo doesn't handle line end well. In Pharo the [] is added at the end -copy multiple lines from Pharo to Thuderbird works correctly -copy&paste between two Pharo image doesn't work well: paste multiple images to another Pharo eats line ends! 4. OB Package Browser - I really like the back/forth button and history, like on web browsers! - still a bit slow on my 3.2MHz machine - for search field, it is not quite clear when it starts searching - inplace help in search field is lost after you search something - ballon help could help explaining how to search? - autocomplete search field would be just perfect ... - or filter like search: you type some letters, after a second of delay it automatically filter out classes starting with that character. Something like that... We the web guys are spoiled with such fields, I know ... ;) 5.default look&feel, close/min/max buttons - it would be really nice to us non-Mac users to put those buttons just the opposite and make their meaning more clear (X for close, etc) I know somewhere the skin can be changed, but in so many preferences this is hard to find even for me, who once already switched it.
