Hi all, there is a hopefully fixed version of the Kom package in the Pharo inbox. I'm not familiar with Universes yet, so I can't easily make a modified loader for Seaside or Pier. There is an error in the Kom package comment, the method mimeType does not get removed if you load the Kom package into a fresh image. It will get removed if you update the Kom package (IIRC the way Monticello handles these things). Michael

[Pharo-project] ScreenController Removed with Issue #610

Hello, I almost did everything right I think, following the directions at http://code.google.com/p/pharo/wiki/HowToContribute. If I did, I believe SLICE-remove-ScreenController-RobRothwell.2 should effectively remove ScreenController from the system. Please check it out when you get the time; it required small changes changes to Morphic, Graphics, ST80, and System. I forgot to set the status to "Fixed," however, and can't figure out how to do that! Take care, Rob

Thanks for the help Steve. I look in mantis bugs and I found exactly the same bug I was going to report. I noticed it was fixed and a .cs attached. I tried it and work like a charm. http://bugs.squeak.org/view.php?id=5637 So, now, the question is....will this .cs be included in future squeak images ? I mean, how is the process for the bug fixes ? when are the fixes put in the images ? thanks for the help. [Pharo-project] Cosmetic nonsense

Hello all, Try the Vistary theme with Preferences setPreference:#browserWindowColor toValue:(Color r: 0.533 g: 0.753 b: 0.976). On the latest OB debugger, I recommend adding some background fill under (in z order) the buttons. As it is now, they live over a background that blends with the source pane, and that end up looking really weird when the source is scrolled. [Pharo-project] Known bug with text editor and scroll ?

Hi people: I am having a problem and I think is a known bug but I want to be sure. Sometimes, not very often, I have a method that is bigger (vertically speaking) than the editor inside the class browser. I mean, the whole method cannot be see in the edit but a vertical scroll appear. I want to select text, using shift and down narrow for example, and go to the end of the method. The scroll should move and the editor should show the end of the method, but it doesn't happen. The visible part of the method doesn't change. However, it does select all the text (the one is down, I can see it). Please, don't answer me "this is a feature. You must extract something to another method" because this is not ALWAYS true just sometimes. Thanks for the help, Mariano

Ahh and would be extremely good that this paints the results with a particular color. So, you can quickly see the occurrences of the world you were searching. [Pharo-project] [Idea] Last modified classes

Hi people. I am writing down all the ideas or thing I miss from others IDE that I have in mind. Lots of times I have to jump from one class + method to another. Having various opened class browsers sometime is quite usefulness for me. There is a "feature" in some programs or IDE that are very nice for this. For example, in Eclipse with ctrl + F6, or in notepadd ++ with ctrl + shift. It is very difficult for me to explain how it works, even more in English, but I will try it: You press a shortcut (suppose ctrl + F6) and it shows a morph with a list of the recent modified classes. This is vertical. I mean, one down the other. They are ordered depending when they were last used. The one is above is the last one recently modified. Then, every time you press ctrl + F6 again you go down with another class till you choose the one you want. And that's all. There, the class browsers, open the class you choose, with the cursor in the exact place you left it. Sorry but is very difficult to explain it in words :( cheers, Mariano

[Pharo-project] [Idea] method source with it

Very often I need to search a string in the whole code of a package. Someone tell me to select the world and then select "method source with it". This works fine, but it searches in ALL the image. I would like to specify a package for example. Perhaps there is a way I don't know. If this is the case, please let me know. Sorry for just telling the idea and not to offering to do it myself.
