Mariano, As a general principle, I think that it is a good idea to create a configuration per project, that way it is easy for different folks to use that project. It _is_ also useful to create configurations of configurations that pull together a number of different projects into an easy to load unit. So creating a ConfigurationOfRefactoring composed of ConfigurationOfRefactoringBrowser, ConfigurationOfOB and ConfigurationOfO2 makes sense. Apparently O2 and OB cannot live together in the same image (at the moment). Presumably the conflicts in this case can be ultimately resolved with a simple matter of coding:) Even so, it makes sense to choose either O2 or OB as the default browser system that would be loaded if none were present, while being tolerant of both if they are already loaded. [Pharo-project] Questions about Rome

Hi! I am currently studying Rome to see whether I can make Mondrian use it. I have few questions: - Why a RomeCanvas is not polymorphic to a Canvas? E.g., why the drawRectangle: ? Canvas>>frameAndFillRectangle:fillColor:borderWidth:borderColor: is not enough? I am trying to understand the design and rational of Rome - Can I embed a RomeCanvas within a system window? WorldState has an instance variable 'canvas', which is the instance of a FormCanvas. This canvas is passed along down to the drawOn: method used to draw a morph on the screen. Is this mechanism need to be modified? It let us use the enter key instead of the space key in some cases, for example when you save a method with an undeclared variable and it gives you the options....I couldn't find it in my mails.... gary do you remember ? What I find screwy is the way the caplock key gets interpreted. It whacks up menus, leads to easy (unwanted) select/replace of large blocks of text, and (understandably) breaks control-z to fix the later. Pharo is the only program I have seen to behave badly with the cap lock active. Or rather hardwired because of the way the VM delivers key events right now. Unfortunately that can be different from what is set for other applications. I would not bother with a preference on this. Correctly handling enter will not interfere with clicking, so the fix should not offend anyone (right???). When a notifier pops up, you can tab (or shift-tab) to the Proceed/Abandon/Debug/Create buttons at the top of the window. However, when the one you want is highlighted, I would like to be able to just press the to execute it, but you have to actually click on it. If anybody commits something from an image where both are loaded these methods suddenly are missing (isClassOrganization was a recent example that caused a lot of confusion). - O2 still changes the menus in OB, and then people complain that the menus are messed up in OB. - O2 changes the refactoring engines, so that even when OB is selected sometimes O2 browser unexpectedly show up. No there are not supposed to work in 1.0 CERTAIN frozen versions are supposed to work on 1.0 and others won't. A lot of software on mac does not run automatically on snowleopard and 10.2 Tell me if Im wrong but we should use release and version. > Adding the category dialog to OB makes it depend on 1.1, thus people cannot use it in 1.0 anymore.
