[Pharo-project] about browsers and the vision behind pharo

Hi This is a call for a better browser. David may be you should fork and produce one single browser. Now there is a real need for a real browser that does not simply reproduce the old ones: - why do I have to click on the right pane for certain operation like -F to find a class. - why can I get some icons to see the status of my tests - why there is no button to run a test? - ... I think that one or even the central point of Pharo is to make sure that we can move forward. If pharo is just yet another Smalltalk with exactly the same old way of thinking then we will just have failed. The Smalltalk community is stuck. Let us break the museum. I do not want to live in a dusty place just because it is the way to do it. So this is really important that people can bring NEW ideas into the community. Stef

One new clue to solve this bug: the problem only happen when the code is runned from a workspace. It works when runned in a testcase by the test runner. [Pharo-project] displaying class variables in OB

There is difference in what you receive when you clicking variables button in 'instance side' mode and 'class side' mode. The first shows instance variables for class instances and class variables, while second shows instance variables for actual class object and class variables of class class. But what is confusing, that window title, in both cases reads as 'XXXX variables', where XXX is class name. I think there should be difference (at leas in title) : 'XXX variables' - for instance side browsing XXX class's variables / XXX class object variables for class side browsing.. Or maybe something different to avoid confusion and ambiguility between class variables of class, and class variables of class class. -- Best regards, Igor Stasenko AKA sig.
