lol, "far left".

Far left is to consider that we need a revolution to overthrown the
ruling class (the the bourgeoisie) in order to socialize de means of
production. Not to consider that every human being has the right to
consider themselves as they please and makes them feel more in sync with
the world, without being abused by people that believes they have the
right to judge others choices.

But go ahead, "leftist"... what else you consider is a perfectly
acceptable opinion ? (Is just a rhetorical question, I really do not
want to hear your opinions). No wonder why you feel better at twitter
than any other option... but hey, we are not forbidding you to go deep
in that shithole and express your ''leftist' self there along with all
the other leftists that hang along with Elon Musk and other fascists (or
alike) like him.

Esteban

ps: another "perfectly reasonable" opinion like that and you will get a
ban from our lists, not just from bluesky. But don't worry, you will be
able to go and protest to twitter.

Pharo people should go on whatever social media Pharo people want to go
on.  I shall not follow because social media seem to bring out the worst in
people whatever the topic or platform.  I am thrilled to the very socks
with this mailing list and deeply grateful to the Pharo developers for the
time and effort they put into Pharo and here.  I only fear that antisocial
media will dilute that effort, because Ducasse et al may be superhuman,
their time is still linited.

I generally skew left on social programs, but have conservative opinions on
monetary policy, for instance.

However, I am deeply concerned how the far left shuts down any political
debate that even slightly disagree with their viewpoint and ban people for
stating otherwise. Calling someone "nazi" and 'fascist" or saying "trans
women are not real women" is an example of this.

Perhaps we can return to the original assertion:
" Bluesky is an echo chamber that will ban you for having the wrong
political opinion. Twitter is much more open to differing viewpoints.  "

That has nothing to do with Pharo, so I for one would rather not see
non-Pharo discussions on Pharo lists/channels/fora/whatever.

Perhaps, you could take your political discussions, your gender
discussions, your sexuality discussions, etc. to some other, more relevant
forum.

Hello pharoers, here are my 2 cents:

Billionaires should not exist.
Elon musk is a nazi & billionaire, 2 good reasons to avoid giving him any
money, so fuck twitter/x.
I don't know much about bluesky but that it's funded by private investors
so it will likely become another twitter one day, because the capital
always support the fascists.

Can we ban him already?

Is this not proof enough that he's on the nazi side??

Are we "tolerating nazis"???

We also started Mastodon accounts for Pharo and ESUG, and perhaps

But bluesky or twitter before were never mandatory to be up to date with

All Pharo users should be here. Political views, including yours, have
no place here.

Keep the discussion 100% Pharo. This a purely technical group. We should
have no interest in each others political views. Even Hitler himself
could participate.

Kind Regards

Can we ban him already?

Is this not proof enough that he's on the nazi side??

Are we "tolerating nazis"???

 Billionaires should not exist.
Elon musk is a nazi & billionaire, 2 good reasons to avoid giving
him any money, so fuck twitter/x.
I don't know much about bluesky but that it's funded by private
investors so it will likely become another twitter one day,
because the capital always support the fascists.

That has nothing to do with Pharo, so I for one would rather
not see non-Pharo discussions on Pharo
     lists/channels/fora/whatever.

Perhaps, you could take your political discussions, your
gender discussions, your sexuality discussions, etc. to some
     other, more relevant forum.

People who disagree with your political opinions are not

         have a differing opinion.

We will do what we want and do not care about people

Let us continue to make Pharo great and fun because

I will continue to focus on PRs that improve Pharo.

He did the same thing (with others) a few years ago

He is doing this right now again.

The vocabulary is all there: "echo-chamber", "wrong

all the nazi words they try to impose in community

Nice and diplomatic discussions do not work with nazis.
So why are we tolerating this? He is not even

Between this and the guy who harasses my students at
