Ciao,

Thanks.
Writing this book was a daunting huge difficult exhausting task that took me around 4 years or more.
This publisher is managed using a not so great Php software and I can tell you that you can feel it when
you have to manage the books.

Congratulation Stephane on completing this book.
I feel it is crucial. It removes a major hurdle for new, part time and/or
returning programmers to get what they need with a UI for their Pharo
programs.
For me, it also helps me advocating for Pharo with my colleagues.

I have been overusing chatgpt, which gave this answer (which I checked and seems rather reasonable):
Question:
“Is there a book describing the current version of Roassal? It’s related to Pharo programming.”
Answer:
Yes, there is a book that describes the current version of Roassal:
• 📖 “Agile Visualization with Pharo” by Alexandre Bergel.
This book focuses on the Roassal visualization engine and provides the essential tools for visualizing data in Pharo.
➡️ Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/Agile-Visualization-Pharo-Crafting-Interactive/dp/1484271602
For more up-to-date documentation, you can also check out the official GitHub repository:
• 🛠️ Roassal on GitHub:
This repository contains the source code, examples, and documentation for Roassal.
➡️ GitHub link https://github.com/pharo-graphics/Roassal
These resources should give a solid understanding of the current version of Roassal in Pharo.
But perhaps there is a book it did not find…
— Kasper
As is commonly the case, ChatGPT is highly plausible but completely wrong.
The current version is Roassal3. "Agile Visualisation" is about Roassal2.
From the examples I've seen, none of the code in the book works in the new
version. The classes have different prefixes. I was hoping that there was a
new edition of the book to go with the new version of the code.
