Hello. Yes, I'm in NYC. However I'm mostly a Ruby guy, with a strong interest in Smalltalk; I periodically tinker with Pharo, and I lurk here (this is my first actual message to the list). Not at all! I came from the Ruby world and, even though I'm all Smalltalk now, I still attend Ruby conferences and get value out of them. There is a NYC Smalltalk group. I've been trying to contact the organizer to do an Amber presentation, but no luck so far. If I don't hear back in a reasonable time, we could just set one up on our own... p.s. there are a few other NYC Smalltalkers that I know of.
