Right now it doesn't allow you to change the bytecodes.
It's practical uses depend, more of less, on whether or not you are dealing with bytecodes or not.��If you are the it's quite useful to see how values are being pushed/popped from the stack. Also the normal debugger executes multiple bytecode instructions at once.
