The ultimate idea is that there would be a process to validate packages, hopefully an automated one, based on unit tests, lint rules, ?
Right now, that is not the case.
But I do agree that it makes a lot of sense to be able to load something with one click.
What is missing is more meta data describing the package itself I guess.

Thanks for the info. An automated approach sounds good. I also wonder whether it would be useful to have something like an 'I use this' button, which would allow community feedback on a package. This goes back to some of the ideas that Brad Cox had about software foundries, and getting a quality rating.
