I have subsequently loaded Pharo 1.2 (Pharo1.2 rc2 Latest update #12335). I have an entry in http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.smalltalk.squeak.seaside/23773 that describes the problem. Propblem still remains. P.S. I definitely would not see this kind of problem in eclipse or VS - sad

It is very difficult to use tutorial as nobody bothers to update them to the 'newest' pharo or seaside. There should be a method of maintaining documentation, blogs, tutorials, etc. This is very tall order. Definitely, deprecated methods should say so until a point where they are archived. Take most any tutorial that is more than 2 years old, and it would not function or has problems. As to eclipse, it is free and I found a free ide for C# http://www.coderun.com/ide/

It is really difficult to get details right with little/no founding, as this is exactly what people tend to not work on if they can decide themselves on what to work on next.
