3.0 will start as soon as we release 2.0, and that will be in February 2013... I don't think is too much time to wait :) On Oct 16, 2012, at 2:16 PM, Stéphane Ducasse <stephane.ducasse@inria.fr> wrote:

Hi guys,

I want to move pharo 2.0 to beta status in a near future (let's say monday 5 of november).

What does that means?

- no more changes/cleanups/removals/deprecations - no more enhancements - no more "cool integrations" - just bugfixes

so... what do you think? how far are we to achieve that?

a related question is when do we plan 2.1 and how much time we do not open 2.1

he, there is no chaos. there is a mail from april explaining that :) no more N.n versions one major version a year a summer and a winter (or .1 .2, if you prefer) bugfixes releases. and Stef was asking when he (and others) can start to stress the system again, so that will happen in next major (yearly) release, that's why I clarify "3" :) Esteban On Oct 16, 2012, at 2:37 PM, Pavel Krivanek <pavel.krivanek@gmail.com> wrote:

As I see, there is a little chaos in the versions numbering :-) Why the next version should be 3.0?
