ConfigurationOfNastyJokes in MetaRepoForPharo30 looks like the first Pharo based virus. Havent loaded it as advised but from the MC Snapshot browser it looks like the code is doing some image saving, process removing, ... While I understand the fun side of it I would: - recommend not to load it ;) - recommend that we delete this config from MetaRepoForPharo30 Thx T.
:) indeed this is tricky program. Stef

I wouldn't smile :) I'd take this as notice that as Pharo becomes more popular, it becomes more of a target - the rewards are greater and therhave a wider pool from which . You can't really trust that the Author is as shown attached to the packages. Perhaps a feature to consider for Pharo 5 is some infrastructure for the Author to be by digital certificate rather than just typing text when prompted. Maybe we'll get this anyway with git integration.

Yes marcus wants that and I hope that 2Denker will offer that to the community.
Maybe we'll get this anyway with git integration. No because we will have the same problem with binary.

Yes, I noticed that too and wondered what this was all about. Doesn't look good to me to have that around too. Phil On Wed, Aug 20, 2014 at 11:31 PM, Torsten Bergmann <astares@gmx.de> wrote:

Rescued the code in a private repo on STHub, so the original author can contact us when he still needs it. Also deleted the package in MetaRepoForPharo30  Bye T. Gesendet: Donnerstag, 21.
