That's nice, but not enough. Collections with more than a few thousand elements should use multiple blocks of memory (e.g. btree) to have acceptable insert performance.

The point being? In a 64bit environment it will be 8MB. Only for bit/ byte sets or compressed collections it will be less. Cheap pc's currently have up to 16GB of memory, so the first 2.000.000.000 elements are no problem. Stephan
