[Pharo-project] Polymorph sound theme
Any interest in having some concrete sound themes via Polymorph? Default is "no sound" at present. Mostly no examples due to effort required to produce open-source friendly copyright sound clips. Currently supported are window events (open/close/restore-up/restore-down/minimise/maximise) plus specific support for dialog window opening (abort/alert/deny/message/question). FM synthesis is, of course, an option. Sound themes are orthogonal to the ui theme in use. Regards, Gary.
The freesound project (http://www.freesound.org/) might be helpful, but would take a lot of digging around! I generally work on mute anyway, though! Take care, Rob On Sat, Dec 13, 2008 at 11:10 AM, Gary Chambers <gazzaguru2@btinternet.com>wrote:

It's ok if Pharo has sound but I will always switch them of. I'm listening to good music (Pink Floyd) when I develop and would really hate PF to be polluted :-). Bye -- Damien Cassou http://damiencassou.seasidehosting.st

Well ... it's just another break in the wall ... SCNR, s.
I also never use sound (imagine an office with 5 people each playing a sound when opening a browser window ;)). If there is sound I would turn it off by default. Adrian On Dec 15, 2008, at 10:08 , Damien Cassou wrote:

Ditto. I need nor want sound from my programming environment. Ramon Leon http://onsmalltalk.com

Indeed, but might be useful for deployed applications... Regards, Gary. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ramon Leon" <ramon.leon@allresnet.com> To: <Pharo-project@lists.gforge.inria.fr> Sent: Monday, December 15, 2008 4:12 PM Subject: Re: [Pharo-project] Polymorph sound theme
