If we can get to the point of "escape velocity" (as I would say things like "R" have achieved), it would be super. Documentation is a key aspect of that. There are a ton of snippets on this mailing list but they are somewhat 'lost' for newcomers. We should have a "gist" style thing with snippets that are listed. I think that we should all use http://pillarhub.pharocloud.com/ more. There are several advantages to that: * things are not lost * things are already in pillar format and can be put back together in books * we have a central place for such things. One good feature I'd see added to PillarHub would be the ability to CC: a PillarHub email address so that the snippet gets included directly in a PH page (or specific hub, like the Roassal Hub, the GT Hub, the ANN Hub ...) Although it sounds good, I am not sure it is a technical problem. It is just a matter of doing it. Even aggregating/summarising/indexing are important jobs that somebody other than the original author can do.

+ 1 Esteban did some bench with OSWindow cairo rendering (instead of passing via bitblt) and he got 12% for OSWindow instead of 70% of cpu eats :)
