[Pharo-project] Starting with 1.2.1 - Slow installing packages
Hi all, I downloaded 1.2.1, and I'm trying to install some packages to start a new project. The problem I found for the moment, is, thath is taking a lot of time to install. For example, I did the ConfigurationOfO2 and this was 25 minutes ago. Is this normal? I can see pharo.exe is consuming 35MB of RAM. Probably is a limit, and I can increase it? I suppose thath this is the bottleneck. Thanks.

Are you on Windows? do you have anti-viruson? "Pharo on Windows is terribly slow. What's wrong?" in http://www.pharo-project.org/documentation/faq

Gracias Mariano, Seems was Nod32 the problem. Thanks.
consider to use 1.3 because we did some little fixes there and there. http://code.google.com/p/pharo/wiki/ActionsInPharoOneDotThree Stef On Jul 2, 2011, at 1:52 PM, Giuseppe Luigi Punzi wrote:
