Torsten, Does that work in Squeak? ... Metacello is not just for Pharo, so I do not have the freedom to leverage pharo-specific capabilities, nor do I have the cycles available to rewrite everything every 6 months ... I do accept contributions, so if you'd like to rewrite the tutorial in markup I'd be glad to include it in the pharo2.0 version of metacello when we finally get all of the functionality finished... Christophe has been very helpful in the port of Metacello to Pharo2.0 and we are very close to being able to release it ... we're just not there yet..
