[Pharo-project] Text for 1.3 announcement?
Hi, We should officially announce 1.3... For that we need a short text to be posted as a news: http://www.pharo-project.org/news Anyone interested in writing it? -- Marcus Denker -- http://marcusdenker.de
I am concerned about the error handling failure that I (easily) encountered, at least on Linux. Has anyone tried to reproduce it? ________________________________________ From: pharo-project-bounces@lists.gforge.inria.fr [pharo-project-bounces@lists.gforge.inria.fr] On Behalf Of Marcus Denker [marcus.denker@inria.fr] Sent: Friday, October 21, 2011 2:48 AM To: An open mailing list to discuss any topics related to an open-source Smalltalk Subject: [Pharo-project] Text for 1.3 announcement? How does that prevent from releasing 1.3? If there are obscure bugs, they will be fixed in 1.4.

Here is a try We are proud to announce the release of 1.3 of Pharo. This new release is the result of active development from the community and it is composed of: - Cleaning architectural dependencies - Applying code critics to the complete system - Support for server and headless images. Pharo has now a support for stdin, stdout and stderr. - More robust and better startup/shutdown - Better look and feel - Better widgets - Better tools - Weak Announcements - Stratified Proxy - More class comments. - Network improvements based on Zinc And a lot more. A partial but more precise list of changes is available at: http://code.google.com/p/pharo/wiki/ActionsInPharoOneDotThree Remember our goal: we want pharo to be a solid language to build the next generation of systems. Stef marcus can we add this text inside the image and a link on the 1.3 page On Oct 21, 2011, at 8:48 AM, Marcus Denker wrote:
