I am often put into situation where I have many Pharo windows open, but I want to rearrange them. Is there a way to rearrange Pharo tabs(the ones at the bottom left of the screen)? I imagine it wouldn't be hard to add a new menu entry to the right click menus of them to make the tab swap with one on the left or one on the right. -- View this message in context: http://forum.world.st/Rearranging-Pharo-Tabs-tp4917802.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
I use this to manage Windows https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GGJZeajjWGU For something more sophisticated take a look at this http://smalltalkhub.com/#!/~LaurentLaffont/TilingWindowManager On Mon, 3 Oct 2016 at 01:34, CodeDmitry <dimamakhnin@gmail.com> wrote:

Ooh window groups really help! and I can rearrange the tabs by putting them in a tab and out. Would be nice if there was a transparency hint for when you are about to drop it in or not, it's kinda non obvious. By the way, really inspiring speaking there, I am really shy about making tutorial videos since I have a russian accent, and tend to zone out while speaking, but your video is clear and at the same time not accent-free. I should practice making tutorial videos. -- View this message in context: http://forum.world.st/Rearranging-Pharo-Tabs-tp4917802p4917806.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
Thank you , its not so much as confidence more like not caring butchering the English language. Plus my rule is "a great tutorial is an existing tutorial" . Plus seriously , who does not love Russian accent ? Star Trek Checkov is one of my favorite characters a Russian with a heavy accent played by an American born in Russia. If in doubt always ask Star Trek, Star Trek knows it all. About the transparency hint, sounds right, or maybe a plus symbol which is what most people expect. But then my rule is "a great feature is an existing feature" :D On Mon, Oct 3, 2016 at 2:32 AM CodeDmitry <dimamakhnin@gmail.com> wrote:

Indeed, I find the best way to learn something is to teach it, and creating screencast tutorials works great for me. When learning Morphic, I've made quite a few ( https://vimeo.com/130781061 ) There are a few forms that can make it easier. You can make a recording while in a hangout/skype session with a native english speaker who just interviews you about what you want to explain, or you can just add subtitles. Please go ahead. Stephan

I should practice making tutorial videos. Please. Do you imagine that this is fun that as soon as I talk in english people start to tell me that they learned french in school :) -- View this message in context: http://forum.world.st/Rearranging-Pharo-Tabs-tp4917802p4917806.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
