- is dismal. It's about 1/3rd the figures I get on either Raspbian or RISC OS for the plain Squeak interpreter. For the stackvm on Raspbian (which has been working and in the repository for a long time now) I get 35m & 1.8m and the whole system benchmarks about 50% faster than the plain interp. Using the venerable PARC benchmarks with suitable updates I get a Dorado rating of about 2800.
To get such poor figures something must be wrong in the build setup; the worst I ever saw was when a mistake on my part completely left out the gcc -O2 (or whatever) flag.
