Clean the directory where you're running the script. If some of the files already exists the zero conf script won't work.

the Ubuntu PPA is made for this:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pharo/stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install pharo-launcher

Can't be more simple than that
