confirms that lighthouse is indeed Farol and not Faro .... however
lighthouse does still translate as Faro in Spanish :)

Yes, in Spanish, it is Faro.
Marcus told me he chose Pharo just to be easily indexed by search engines like Google. It doesn't mean lighthouse in any language. Just a deformation for google ;)
