I tried it myself and I am able to run an image without Free type

$ curl get.pharo.org/70+vm | bash
$ ./pharo-ui Pharo.image
(disable Free type in image)
$ mv pharo-vm/Pharo.app/Contents/MacOS/Plugins/libFT2Plugin.dylib /tmp
$ mv pharo-vm/Pharo.app/Contents/MacOS/Plugins/libfreetype.* /tmp
$ ./pharo-ui Pharo.image

The look is not 100% perfect, but seems quite usable.


And Pharo 7 is actually quite usable: I developed in it the whole day, no issues.
