Except you may need to exclude the last few changes which made your image crash.
Maybe there could be two buttons ��"1. Select lost changes" and "2. Restore selected"
which gives you the opportunity to manually deselect between the steps. ��
Step 1 might select only the latest of each method, without the need to filter.
